At the international conference “Artificial Intelligence in the Educational Process: Problems and Solutions” held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on April 30th, Professor Said Gulyamov, Head of the Department of Cyber Law at Tashkent State University of Law, gave a thought-provoking presentation titled “AI Mentorship – The Future of Higher Education.” Gulyamov laid out an ambitious vision where every university student would be paired with a highly capable artificial intelligence (AI) assistant to serve as their personal academic mentor. These advanced AI mentors, utilizing cutting-edge natural language AI capabilities, would provide adaptive, round-the-clock personalized guidance, feedback, resources and support tailored to each individual student’s needs, learning styles and goals across all subjects and throughout their full university experience. Gulyamov argued this AI mentorship model could vastly improve educational access and outcomes by maximizing every student’s learning potential.
